A 20-year Millbrae resident, Fama and his wife, Cheryl, have three children and five grandchildren. Andrews moved in 1968 to Millbrae where she and her late husband, Ernie, raised two sons. During their school-age years, she served on the PTA board at Green Hills Elementary School, volunteering as a den mother for Cub Scout Pack 25, and teaching CCD classes at St. Dunstan School, all in Millbrae. A talented singer, Andrews has also sung in several church choirs over the years, including cantatas at St. Matthew Church in San Mateo, St. Mary’s Cathedral in San Francisco, and St. Dunstan Church, as well as at special events such as Pope John Paul II’s visit to Candlestick Park in 1987 and the Jubilee 2000 Mass at AT&T Park.
