HOMECOMING CELEBRATIONS: There was news worth celebrating at HomeFirst’s In From the Cold fundraiser Thursday night in downtown San Jose. The biggest was the likely approval of Measure A, the $950 million bond measure that would certainly boost efforts to ease Santa Clara County’s housing affordable housing crisis. Santa Clara County Assessor Larry Stone and developer/philanthropist John A. Sobrato, who started the fundraiser for the homeless services nonprofit seven years ago, congratulated Santa Clara County Supervisor Dave Cortese, who led the county’s campaign, and voters for their efforts.
